Issue Position

Without a reliable transportation infrastructure (rail and highway), people and businesses will not choose Connecticut. As a former commuter, I know first hand the unpredictability of Metro North and the safety and service concerns. We pay the third highest gas taxes in the country to fund the state's dedicated Transportation Fund. Unfortunately, that money has not been invested in our state's transportation system, but has been diverted for other uses. We must stop raiding these monies and invest in our transportation infrastructure.
